Anyone else ever cut a massive hole in the side of their car? This was the scariest project we have taken on so far because there was literally 0 room for error, but we did it!!!
We used the template to trace the outline on both the inside and outside of the van, making sure it would be level and exactly where we wanted it. Then, we used a jigsaw to cut through the metal, leaving us with a giant hole in the side of the van.
The window fit nicely in the hole and we used standard window sealant to avoid any moisture or water from leaking in. We secured the window on the inside using 1x1 shims before placing the frame on top.
The window itself it’s pretty dope from Wilderness Vans and it includes a bug screen and blinds, while also being slightly curved to fit better to the van body. We are super happy with how it turned out!
